About this image

Not the best spectrum in the world but it does show the continuum with weak emission lines from hydrogen and helium. At mag 12.6 in a crowded star field it's a difficult target.  Note the Carbon star, upper left, with all the emission at the red end of the spectrum (forgotten it's designation!).

There are many calibrated spectra of this object in the BAA spectroscopy database.  The most recent is that of J Foster from December 2023.

Field ~ 40 x 30 arc minutes with north, and red, to the right.
