About this image

A capture of comet 12P/Pons-Brooks on 30 March 2024. This was a tricky capture as the comet was close to setting behind the neighbouring rooftops. The shadow in the bottom left of the image is a chimney pot! The comet appeared a little brighter than a few days previously and I managed to pick up more detail in the tail. I stacked the images using DeepSkyStacker and processed the result with FastStone Image Viewer and Photoshop Elements. Hopefully this won't be my last capture of it but the weather over the next couple of weeks doesn't look very promising.
