About this image

In anticipation of the eruption of the recurrent nova T Coronae Borealis (T CrB) at some point this year (hopefully), I decided to get a reference shot while the star is still at magnitude 10. I went up to the dark skies of the North York Moors on 13 April 2024 to get the shot. It was quite windy but I managed to get enough shots to create this stacked image. I've marked T CrB for ease of identification. The bright star above left of it near the top of frame is Epsilon Coronae Borealis. T CrB should be quite a sight when the star erupts so it will be nice to have a comparison image to refer to.
