About this image

PaEl is an extremely faint but intriguing nebula of mystery that was co-discovered by Dana Patchick and David Elmore in January 2022. It is located in Cygus and has a size of 8 arc minutes. One theory is that it is a planetary nebula. An alternative theory is that it is a supernova shell.
Image captured on my remote telescopes in Spain.
