About this image

My first capture of comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) from 26 April 2024. I thought I would have a go at capturing it before the 90% lit Moon came up. It was a clear night but with some passing haze. The comet turned out better than I expected, despite being quite small for my imaging setup. I could easily see the tail on the back of my DSLR when I took some test images. It's nice to see that a tail is already present so hopefully this will bode well for later in the year, when it will be brighter. I'll be following the progress of the comet as best I can this month.
