About this image

Not a particularly billiant image. Im not into much post processing but the main target shows nicely

Reason for this image was to capture some decent dust evidence on an edge on spiral - clearly seen here as well as a slight warp thought to be caused by gravitational interaction with nearby satellite galaxy.

Also, seen here is the slightly elongated profile to the core. This "peanut" core shape is a characteristic of a barred spiral - we are seeing the bar end on.

Initally speculation, NGC has now been proven to be an Sb type by observations made by Spitzer.
