About this image

I normally stack on the coma, so get star trails.
This time I noted a faint smudge and realised it was a smeared small faint fuzzy. UGC 8262. A faint spiral (Sc) at magnitude 14.3(B)

I just love finding these small unexpected gems.

One reference I have found states it's actually a Seyfert (type2) Galaxy - These vary in magnitude - for not wholly explained reasons, although possibly linked to AGCs.

Anyway, also in the image is a slighltly elogated image of the comet. I thing the tail is getting a bit more pronounced.

Edited (after upload) i notice the Astrometric routine has not picked up the galaxy. It is the faint object to the right hand side of the comet.

Yeah... I know.... the're not really going to crash.... thats silly... the comet will probably be absorbed by the galaxy. ???!?:)
