About this image

This was the best I could do hand-held with the iPhone, 4s exposure, the aurora seen over the Firth of Clyde from Greenock, near midnight on 2024 May 10/11. Red and green colours were vivid to the eye and the rays extended from all directions converging in a corona between Arcturus and Alkaid.
