About this image

Supernova SN 2023ixf was discovered a year ago on 2023-05-19 so here is a spectrum to celebrate.  It is  now approaching V mag 18 so a bit of a struggle with a bright moon and twilight skies here at this time of year but there has not been much change over the past 2-3 months. Perhaps it is time though to add another animation to the collection as it may be too faint for another spectrum when the dark skies return
