This COAST image of NGC 5950 reveals an interesting barred spiral galaxy. It appears to have a distorted disk. It was discovered by Edouard Stephan in June 1882. Several other galaxies can also be seen in this image.

Apparent mag. 13.8. Distance c.115million ly. Diameter c.45,000 ly.
