About this image

This cluster of mag. 14.0-15.0 galaxies was discovered by Ralph Copeland in 1874, using Lord Rosse's 72" reflector at Birr Castle. The most prominent seen in this COAST image is the Saturn-like NGC 3753, a 14th mag. spiral galaxy. Also NGC 3746, a mag. 14.1 spiral galaxy to its right above.
