About this image

PaEl 2 is a candidate planetary nebula in Ophiuchus discovered jointly by American amateur astronomers Dana Patchick and David Elmore. It is 168 arcseconds in diameter. This image was a collaboration with The Astronomical Society of Edinburgh using their new ASERO remote observatory in Spain as well as one of my observatories in Spain.
