On looking out past midnight (BST) I was surprised to see these huge wisps of cloud, so extensive I was not sure at first that these were NLC. But stepping outside it was clear they could be nothing else. Streamers of cloud were present to overhead and down towards the southern horizon. After a few photos it seemed like troop cloud coming in was going to close play, but these parted for another photo session.
