About this image

I have wanted to capture this iconic dark nebula for some time, but processing it in PixInsight has been quite a learning curve. I found that I had to throw away many sub-frames because the background level was too bright. It is about 15 light years long at a distance of 650 light years. The two blue reflection nebulae ar Vdb-149 and Vdb-150
