Title

Gamma Cygni nebula

About this image

Cygnus is rich in nebulosity and that around gamma cygni is especially

rewarding.  Part of it is known as The Butterfly which is visible

here. I used it as 'first light' target with the new Hyperstar rig and

shot Ha, SII and OIII rendered as red, green and blue

respectively. The nebula is dominated by Ha so I increased slightly

the contributions from OIII and SII to make them apparent. The OII is

visible as a magenta tinge (blue and red) and the SII as yellow (red

and green).  Total of 5.5 hrs over several nights between June 25th

and July 8th. All 300s subs, unguided, bin 1x1, gain of zero.
