Title

Barnard's G star formation regions

About this image

An irregular dwarf galaxy with only about 10 million stars - the nearest resemblance to the Magellanic clouds seen from northern hemisphere.

The image reveals very interesting regions of star formation and strange-looking nebulae, such as the bubble reddish nebula of active star formation, where young, hot stars heat up nearby gas clouds.
