After seeing Gary Poyner's forum post I took a quick image of the field containing UV Per with iTelescope T5. The red light image appears to show UV Per well below the reported mag 12.8 yesterday. Maybe due to the red filter? More observations obviously needed to see what is going on.

Some AAVSO magnitudes (presumably V-mags) shown with decimal points removed. UV Per shown by tick marks.

Update 30th July: Another image this morning shows that UV Per is fading rapidly. See forum post for details.
