About this image

I was out on the moors observing early Perseid meteors when I happened to see a late display of noctilucent clouds. I looked to the north and there was a brief dawn display. The NLCs were very low and quite compact and the display only lasted a few minutes. I managed to get a few shots before they faded. It was amazing to see NLCs this late in the season.
