Occultation Saturn August 21, 2024.
The image was taken somewhat extemporaneously with a wifi camera through a Vixen 80M refractor on a Skywatcher HEQ5 mount. Strong turbulence but cloudless sky with light haze. Temperature 24 degrees with high humidity (the hygrometer read 99%. I'm afraid it was off the scale...). the image is extrapolated from a larger film. Between the almost full Moon and Saturn there was a great disparity in brightness: it was necessary to mediate with the regulation of the light. Time: TU 03.29.04.
I was only able to observe the re-emergence of Saturn visually with simple 7x50 binoculars with the Sun touching the horizon. Saturn clearly visible in binoculars (never seen before in the same conditions).
Greetings.
