Nice result James.  Maybe you have some other targets in mind? Two that might be interesting to try are U Cephei and RW Tauri.  Both have large magnitude ranges and should show significant colour changes from blue (B-type) at max to orange (K-type) at total-eclipse.

I've done both in black-and-white but colour would be nice to see...
