M39 in Cygnus

About this image

M39 (also known as Pyramid Cluster) lies in a rich field in Cygnus and spans an angular diameter of 29 arcminutes – about the size of the full Moon. I love the very hot blue stars in the cluster and try to comprehend they are 1000ly away!

You'll appreciate the field more in Hi-Res HERE.
