About this image

This planetary nebula was discovered in October 1878 by Édouard  Stephan using the 31.5" reflector at Marseille Observatory.

Apparent magnitude 12.1. Distance c.5,260ly. The bright star is mag. 10.5. 

Bortle 7/8, Full Moon, 100% 15 days.
