This ill-defined open cluster (Class III2m) in Serpens was discovered by Solon Bailey in 1896 while he was an Assistant Professor at Harvard University. 

Apparent mag. 4.6. Diameter c.18ly. Distance c.1,600ly.

Bortle 7/8, light cloud intermittently heavier.
