About this image

This is the same image as I posted previously, but I have turned it into black and white, inverted it and increased the contrast. I was interested to see how far the tail of the comet stretched. On this image I have marked the star 45 Herculis. The separation between the head of the comet and this star is, by my calculation, 10.5 degrees. I can faintly see the tail stretching beyond this and by my measurement this makes the tail at least 12.2 degrees long.
