This mag. 10.3 dwarf lenticular galaxy was discovered by William Herschel in September 1784. It is the Deep Sky Section's October 'Object of Interest'.

This COAST image has been cropped to keep the glare of the red giant Mirach largely out of the image.

Distance c.10million ly. Diameter c.10,000 ly.
