About this image

The mag. 16.7 outer main-belt asteroid (4318) Bata, 27 km in diameter, was predicted to occult a mag. 13.5 star in Aries for up to 3.2 seconds. After many clouded-out events I had a good sky and was inside the predicted shadow path, 6.5 km from the centreline, recording a dip of 3.0 seconds' duration.
