About this image

Another single image 1000s but the depth is really evident with the larger RC.

Did not take any flats or darks or do anything to this image other than pull the histogram out and adjust contrast.

M82 was thought to be an irregular classification galaxy. But near InfraRed observation in the past 20years together with radio observations have found evidence of spiral arms.

This is a so called "starburst" galaxy, with frantic new star formation happening due to tidal disruptions as this galaxy interacts with other galaxies  in the M81 group . Notably M81 itself.
