Title

Mare Imbrium and Sinus Iridum

About this image

Good seeing. Moon 11.4 days, 87.9% illuminated. Saw a nice shadow from Promontorium Laplace cast into the Sinus Iridium. I attempted higher-resolution images of the area but the results were even more out of focus than this! The undulations of the wrinkle ridges are so like ripples or waves. 3000 frames sorted in PIPP down to 2000, and best 75% of these stacked in Registax, and wavelets sharpened in Wavesharp.
