About this image

I think I photographed the Moon’s South Pole? When I photographed the southern highlands the other night as part of a terminator sequence, the Moon was close to maximum libration, tipped up relative to the Earth by about 6.5˚. As a result you can just make out Shackleton. The image is shown south upwards for clarity, and I have added a marker to show the South Pole. I'm sure someone can correct me if I am wrong!

1200 frames FireCapture video, best 20% stacked in ASIVideoStack, tweaked in Lightroom; label added in Photoshop.
