About this image

This is the very faint, far end of the extended dust tail of comet C/2024 G3 which had set around 30 mins earlier. There have been some spectacular images of this tail from the southern hemisphere but it is visible from north of the equator in darker skies with extreme contrast stretching once the comet has set.
