Palomar 2: a distant globular cluster

About this image

I like a bit of variety & thought I’d give my Origin a challenge.
The constellation Auriga was well placed from my Nottinghamshire back garden (Bortle 5-6) and so on to Palomar 2 a distant globular cluster. Even though it is massive & luminous it glows faintly at 13th magnitude due to it being veiled by interstellar dust & the brightness of its individual stars are suppressed.

Palomar 2 is usually a target for much larger telescopes on the best of nights.
