Title

An owl in a cowl

About this image

Four hours of narrowband exposure overnight on the Owl Nebula. The target, rendered in the SHO pallete, is quite small for my widefield 420 mm focal length scope. It was therefore pleasing to see some structure appearing along with the faint Oiii halo as seen more clearly in the excellent images from Peter Goodhew.
