About this image

A view from on Salisbury Plain as a clear horizon was needed with the planets just a few degrees above the horizon. 30 mins earlier the sky had been nearly 100% cloud covered and it looked like rain too.

Threw away about 70% of pics as the tripod adaptor broke and the camera wobbled whenever the wind blew, and this was Salisbury Plain. A shame as one or two were rather good

Mercury was readily visible to the naked eye.

Meant to add, no processing was applied. This is how it came off the camera - only a minor crop employed. Air was very clean.
