About this image

A severely cropped iPhone image through a small Newtonian telescope of the thin crescent Venus. This is approximately 3 1/2 days before Venus passes through a rather distant Inferior Conjunction on March 23. In theory Venus should currently be visible both shortly after sunset and shortly before sunrise over the next week, at least in fairly northern latitudes.
