About this image
Hoag's Object - I'm slightly obsessed with this very unusual galaxy, so I thought I would give it a go with my Seestar S50. It probably would have come out better with my Redcat 51mm. But, okay, it's not going to win any awards, yet I'm still blown away that this little scope can image this object. Yes, I can just make out the outer ring of the galaxy, and at 612.8 million light-years away, it's in a Bortle 6/7 Zone! About 1900 x 10-second subs. As I progress, I'll hopefully have another go at it while saving for an 8-inch scope, but that will be a few years of waiting. For now, my journey began here.
