About this image

The waterbug galaxy (NGC5033) has a bright nucleus and relatively faint disk. It also shows considerable warping in the southern half of the disk. NGC5005 (seen in the upper left of the image) also shows some nice detail with evidence of multiple dust lanes in its bright disk.
