About this image

Thin cloud and haze prevented me from getting a better view of this aurora and this was the best picture that I had where it just about showed up (see the pink/purplish streak to the right of the house). It did show up in another image at 21:09 UT but this is not worth putting up on this gallery! This view is looking pretty much due north. Cassiopeia is to the left, Cepheus is in the centre and the aurora is found in Cygnus which is just rising to the right of the house.
