About this image

This comet has lost its photocentre and appears to have become disrupted.

Thanks to Nick James for stacking the images, as my software refused.

The image was taken from my remote observatory and was a compromise between the walls of the observatory obscuring the sky and the brightening dawn. The comet was only at 8 degrees altitude.
