About this image

I'm staying up with Denis Buczynski in Highland Scotland at 58N and have slowly been getting used to the polar temperatures up here. Denis has borrowed a Lunt solar telescope and here is an image in H-alpha taken this afternoon using an ASI1600MM. It is the first time I have processed a Hydrogen-alpha image. This is a composite of a short exposure (coloured orange) for the disk and a longer exposure (coloured red) for the prominences.
