About this image

With only 2-hours of darkness each night, this image was taken over the nights of May 15th-16th, and 16th-17th. NGC5371 is a beautiful face-on spiral galaxy, approximately 130MLY away. By comparison, the two stars top left are SAO (Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory) 44804 and 44805, our neighbours at approximately 600LY away.

There hasn't been a good image of this object on BAA since 2017, but just like buses the gallery gets two this weekend (and @David Strange's contribution is an excellent image)!
