About this image

About 5 hours of data in total using RGB and Ha filters taken over 2 nights. Vdb30 is a very faint reflection nebula but exhibits some Hydrohgen alpha emissions (shown as red in the image). The nebula is very large, centred around the blue super-giant alpha Camelopardalis. However the low reflectivity means that very little light is reflected in the visible spectrum. The ring shaped nebula, which is only partly visible in my image, has been shaped by the strong stellar winds originating from alpha Camelopardalis.
