About this image

Here is interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS imaged in 30 minutes using a 51mm aperture. It is a real cometary needle in a haystack full of stars. The main image is the full frame binned by 2 and the inset shows the frames stacked at the comet's offset rate using the latest version of Astrometrica (thanks to Herbert Raab for fixing it so that it works for 3I).

This system has the same aperture as a Seestar 50 so it should be possible to get the comet with that although I had the advantages of a cooled camera and a mountain-top location.
