About this image

This is the best comet around at the moment. It is currently 1.6 au from the Sun and around 13th magnitude, moving rapidly across the Milky Way in Vulpecula. It will come to perihelion in October at a distance of only 0.3 au and, if it survives it might reach magnitude 6-7 as it pulls away from the Sun in the morning sky in late October.
