About this image

As part of videoing the Perseids meteor shower on 12-13 August 2025, I also captured this kappa Cygnid meteor. It appears in Ophiuchus and displays a distinct orange colour. It is also very slow moving compared to the faster speed of Perseid meteors. The bright star to the upper left of the meteor is Altair in Aquila.
