About this image
Cloud prevented the rising of the Moon to be observed, and cloud interrupted the view until about 19:25 UT when the umbral phase of the umbral shadow was already half way off the disc. This is just 200 frames between the clouds at 19:30 UT. It was a good evening to open the observatory as it was warm and people enjoyed the drama of the clouds and rewarding to eventually see the Moon with a big chunk missing. Thanks to Richard Severn for operating the Society's telescopes.
