About this image

I have always loved this target, it really does look like a bubble!  I captured it with a wider field telescope a few years ago, but I was excited to see what it would look like closer up, through my 8" SCT.  Despite the slow light gathering speed of my F10 Meade, and capturing from my rather light polluted ~ bortle 6 back garden, I could see the bubble in a single 4 minute exposure!  It is a lot brighter than I expected it to be :)  I was able to capture 85 x 240 minute subs before the the nebula disappeared behind my house.  My guiding through the OAG is often a bit hit and miss, but it worked extremely well for this target, I was therefore able to stack 84 out of the 85 subs :)
