That is incredible Nigel.  Can you set the GIF to loop?  If you created it in PIPP there is a setting to do that.

Very nice, and an excellent demonstration of why you need very fast optics or a very bright comet to get good images of the ion tail. The tail changes so rapidly that long exposures just smear everything out.
