About this image

I managed to get a very quick widefield snapshot of the comet this evening at nautical twilight in a small gap between rain clouds. It shows the long, blue ion tail and the broad, curved dust tail. The gap only lasted a few minutes but the comet still looks impressive in a single 30s exposure in a bright sky. It is now around mag 4.5 and it was visible on my UK004G meteor camera at the time this image was taken. Here is that image. I really hope I get some longer clear gaps over the next few nights!
