I have tried to overlay the Nick James's chart of Comet Lemmon on the photograph I took last night of the comet. It was just idle curiosity to see how well the comet lies on the predicted track. The difficulty is scaling and rotating the two images so that the stars overlap. Even then it doesn't fit very well over large separations due to lens distortions and projection issues. However, by making sure that the stars fit quite well in the location of the comet, you can see that it sits on the predicted track quite well. The observation time was 19:41 UT on the 25th which is 0.820 of the day and you can see that the comet is about the right distance along the track towards the 26th tick mark from the 25th tick mark (taking that the tick marks are for midnight UT).
