About this image

A very frustrating evening with a perfectly clear sky overhead but cloud to the west. This is one of the few frames that was not cloud affected and it was taken at the end of nautical twilight. This single 30s exposure is quite noisy but it shows the ion tail stretching over 6 degrees out of the frame.

Fantastic image Nick!  I suggest you edit the title of the observation before the Comet Section Director sees it though. :)
